we've just got jaws 7.0 for the computer at home. when we tried to install it it said we needed to enter a special code to activate it. if we didon't it would shut down every 40 minuets.

well it wouldn't do the code and now we can't get the cd going again. aparently we only had one chance. what do we do now?

I think the best thing to do would be either contact your local authority or the organisation which send you jaws or freedom cientific. i am sure the will help you especialy freedom cientific.

If you want to contact freedom cientific their contact details are on their website which is www.freedomscientific.com but i don't know which is your local authority or any numbers.
Freedom scientific is in the USA so if you don't want to make a call abroad maybe you can email them first.

I'm guessing you went to JAWS 7 from 5.0 or some earlier version. if this is the case, you should've also received an authorization cd with your JAWS program cd. insert that and then try activating again. the activation dialogue box should come up each time you start JAWS if you aren't activated.

there's also an authorization number in print and braille on the back of your cd sleave, although it's hard to read in braille cause the numbers are sometimes squashed. they need to fix that.

If this isn't your first jaws activation it's possible that you don't have any installs left and fs can reset your activations.
